Leisure Suit Larry - Some old memories

Everybody remembers Larry, right? Shame on you if you don’t know him! I think I was around 10 years old when I met Larry first time. At that time games often had “codes”, which you needed to find from the manual in order to prove that you have legitimate game. Larry had instead other kind of codes. You had to answer questions that older than 18 years old knows only. Quite funny thing. And that didn’t me prevent to play the game :) This new game had similar questions. Not sure have you answer right or not. At least questions are very simple.

The Nokia N900 - something interesting from the past

I found the Nokia N900 from my “archives”! One of the last attempts before the giant mobile firm collapsed. I was very curious does it still work? I haven't used that for years. Battery might be dead was my initial thought. By dead I mean that you are not able to charge it anymore.

Luckily I found a charger labeled by Nokia and it seemed to have right type of USB B connector. Plugged in and surprise! Orange light lighted up and Nokia logo pop upped to the screen of the device. Wow! This might work indeed.

Apple vs Windows PC, which one you should buy?

If you are wondering should you buy Apple or Windows based PC. Please read on and find my comments. I had this thinking earlier and came to conclusion of this issue.

Roughly one year ago I was so fed up with Windows 7. Mainly because all constant update needs. All kind of pop ups came. When there was Java asking update and when some other application. I have to admit, I was bit lazy too. Maybe I could make these pop ups silent by configuring notifications and just solely updating needed things.

Light the staircase

We had moved few months ago to new home. New home has two floors and I thought that it would be a good idea to light the staircase. I already made some background research what kind lightning would be needed. But then after some time I had new things in my mind and forgot all what I had studied. Until we visited local shop which sells this kind things. Noticed there Phillips Hue led strip. Though that this is exactly what I need. Noticed already in the shop that box includes 2 meters of that strip, which would not be of course enough for whole staircase. There was also mention “Bridge not included” in the box. Idea was to “pilot” how it works. Didn’t care of these bridges whatsoever…

Dirt Rally - PC version

Finally!

What a superb game this is! These was my first impressions of the game during first 30 minutes. Have not changed my mind after clocked some 30 hours to Steam gameclock. Though that might be a bit misleading figure. Game has been clocking main screen some of the time while playing with the kid other stuff. But still I have played game many hours and still love it!

Acer XB270HU

I was without gaming rig one year plus some months. I had various reasons then why to buy Apple laptop. I will cover these details in other article but I can say that my plans didn’t go that well. I decided to get Windows back. Wanted to play new games once again.

Usually when I know that I will buy new PC, I start to to discover what components is needed. So happened this time too. Expect I consulted some of my friends who does researching all the time. Luckily I decided to do this. I was going to end up with new FULL HD Nvidia g-sync monitor. Other components was approved as "a top pick" of my friends. But FULL HD as a resolution is not that much nowadays. And then g-sync helps if graphics card is drawn out of juice in heavy action games. So this kind of situation is not likely to happen with low resolution monitor and high end GFX. Friends then recommended me to have The Gaming Monitor Acer XB270HU. It has IPS, it has G-SYNC, it has low response times, it has low input lag, so it has evrrryhting! I decided to go with that.
